Hi Everyone!
Today I’m going to be talking about the infamously famous and most common human response to almost everything – “That’s easy to say, but difficult to do!”. All of us say this either aloud or in our minds.
This might be so familiar right? –
1. I hate my job, it’s so not what I want to do. I’d rather paint or sing!
So then do that!
Yeah, it’s easy for you to say, it isn’t practical to do!
2. I can’t take this relationship anymore. It’s abusive and leaves me feeling so drained!
Okay, just leave then! Walk away right now!
Yeah right! It’s easy to say, but I can’t actually do it!
3. I am so upset with xyz…person/episode, etc. I wish I could’ve just given it back to them!
Okay so say what you have to, now!
Now it loses all relevance…
Then forget about it. Leave it and let go!
It’s not so easy to just leave it!
(In my mind: So, is it easier to hold on then?)
4. I worry about the future (and this future includes, our own, our spouse’s, our kids’ sometimes even leading right up to that of the economy and finally the planet. LOL), I worry about health, money, the works!
Have faith! God is taking care of it all. Everything is happening as per divine wisdom.
Hmm. That’s easy to say, but difficult to do!
And the list goes on. I’ve just listed a few of them here. So why is something that’s easy to say so difficult to do? Let’s explore that, shall we? 😉
The first & foremost reason for this beautiful reaction seems to be that “Everyone We Know Says This”. It’s mental conditioning. We become what we grow with/live with. It’s more like a standard thought– “That this is supposed to be difficult”. Imagine if Einstein or Newton or any of these great beings we know of today, had this kind of thinking, the face of the planet would’ve been something else today. Wouldn’t it?
Anyways, never mind that. Today, I want you to ask yourself, how can anything that causes pain, be easier to deal with and stay in than that which frees you from it? It’s like saying – I’d rather bear the pain of this fractured arm than sling it! Honestly, it is the same thing. However, society has not yet portrayed slinging a broken arm as “easy to say but difficult to do” and thank god for that! LOL.
While wanting to leave a toxic job, why does money stop us? When the truth is, that it is only when we follow our passion that we experience abundance.
While wanting to walk out of a toxic relationship, why do thoughts about society, children, parents, blah..blah.. act as a hindrance? Why can’t we remember that we must first do that which is right for us, only then will we be able to take care of others – our children and people who we care about. Even in airplanes, they advise you to put your own oxygen mask first and then help others – including your children. Because the truth is that to be able to give to others, you must first make sure that you yourself have enough. How will that happen if you don’t allow yourself to receive?
Everything is a play of energies. If you want something, BE IT! If you want abundance, vibrate at the frequency of abundance! If you want pure, unconditional love, first you have to give that to yourself and become it. BECOME what you want! And that comes to you! It has absolutely nothing to do with easy or difficult; or then practical or impractical. It’s as easy or difficult as you make it out to be. Because we are all unique but equally capable! So, there is no reason why some people can achieve their goals while others cannot. Yes, now there is an aspect of money, resources, etc…etc… people of lesser means, or differently-abled, etc. This has nothing to do with that either. It’s all about the level of awareness and where you are in your journey. For e.g., if a person of lesser means is aware of the law of attraction and principles of manifestation and has unwavering faith in them, he can most certainly get himself the life he desires.
So, snap out of this false thinking that “it’s easy to say but difficult to do!”. Nothing is impossible for spirit. Yes, the ego plays its game, tricking us into thinking that we can’t achieve what we set our mind to. But we know better than that! It’s only a question of re-conditioning our mind, and this time, in alignment with spirit!
So the next time you find yourself questioning the solutions to your problems, ask yourself this – “Do I want to remain fractured or should I get me the sling?”
I hope this article doesn’t receive a response of “It’s easy for you to say, but difficult to actually implement!” LOLOL
